Membership in Manzamigos A.C. offers some unique and important benefits including:

Community. Being a member of Manzamigos A.C. provides an instant community. Through your new friends and contacts you can find support and help when you need it. You aren't alone in a new situation!

In times of crisis there are people you can call for help. Manzamigos A.C. has sent out requests on everything from lost pets to soliciting blood donations on behalf of members.

Regular "Monthly Messengers" (newsletters) are sent out with updates and vital information.

"Mini Messengers" whenever there is important information for members between Messengers.

US and Canadian Government advisories are frequently routed through key Manzamigo A.C. board members.

The biggest weekly social event in Manzanillo - Thirsty Thurday dinners and Tuesday card/game afternoons.

Access to the Members Only Area of the Website which includes:

Shopping Guide - contains phrases, translations between Enligh name and Spanish equivalents, cheese comparisons, tools. The best guide to have at hand as you visit the grocery stores. Currently out of print but soon to be available in Members Only area of the website.

Reference Lists to print and have on-hand such as emergency numbers, earthquake preparation etc.

Resources such as information on Visas, Passports, Importing a car, Health care insurance, and much more.

Cost: Membership in the Manzamigos A.C. group is $300 pesos per year. Beginning in January 2011 all memberships will come due in the month of January rather than by current individual join date.

When new members join the group their $300 peso membership fee will be prorated to take them from their join date to the next January renewal period. The cost will be allocated at $25 pesos per month to bring you to the next annual enrollment period in January. For example: if you joined in October your membership fee would be: $75 pesos and then in January 300 pesos would be due which would provide you membership till the following January.

Existing members will be handled much the same as New Members for 2011.

New Membership Cards will be issued each January and will show the current year of membership on the card. There are some distinct advantages to going to an annual renewal for everyone.

In March the password will be changed eliminating inactive members from using the secured portion of the website. .

Memberships that expire will result in the member being moved to an "inactive" list. Once on the inactive list access to the Members area of the website is suspended and your name is dropped from all email communications (Messengers, weekly Thirsty Thursday announcements, etc.).
